Baby Love

We absolutely love this new baby shower invitation we made for a dear and near friend of ours. She wanted something with two little birds in the color scheme of chocolate brown and pink. We couldn't have been happier with the results and our client loved them too!

Mozeltov!

Last week was a long week. Lots of jobs to finish up and lots of things to celebrate such as engagements and anniversaries ;) One of our greatest accomplishments (to date) are the save-the-dates for the barmtizvah we have been working on. These invitations have been our labor of love for the past few weeks, so we are excited for everyone to finally see them. Here are the final cards.

It was really fun to create these guys and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do. If you'd like to browse our little store, log in to Etsy or go to our website and link from there to our shoppe. Oh! and if you see a card that you absolutely love, but would like in a different color, check back in the near future, becuase we are looking to post more colors soon.

It's Baby Season

Wow. I know two women that have just had babies and four women that are due in September. Seems like babies are popping up everywhere and that means more business has been headed our way :) We recently completed two baby showers and are currently working on two more birth announcements. The baby showers were for a boy and a girl, so it was really fun creating different ideas for each party. The client for the baby girl shower just wanted something simple and cute, while the client for the baby boy shower wanted the theme to be sporty. The mom is a HUGE UGA fan, so of course we had to incorporate that into the invite.

Sup Shawty

Yesterday, Jen and I had a fun time putting together bundles of cards for a gift bag that will be handed out at event held at Urban Cottage on July 30th. Jessica Silverstein, owner of Urban Cottage, is having a cocktail party at the store to raise money for katesclub.org. Kate’s Club is a non-profit organization that empowers children and teens facing life after the death of a parent or sibling. It's a great organization, so if you buy an item at the event, you get a free gift bag full of great, local, business swag and, of course, some of our hand-made cards. You can check out the details of the event here. It starts at 6pm. Don't forget!

Here is a glimpse of what we are putting in each gift bag. Each bundle has four different, brightly colored cards that display slang sayings. These cards say "Sup Shawty", "Werrd", "Fo Shizzle", and "Hey Holmes". We hope to be posting these on Etsy soon with more sayings to come.

"Falling" in Love

This past week we were working frantically on a bridal shower for a wedding that is occurring in the fall. Our client wanted a graphic, yet fun invitation that incorporated the color red and was nice prelude to the autumn wedding. We had a little bit of added anxiety, since the bride is an artist as well, so we knew we had to step up our game to make a beautiful invitation that would be appreciated by all. Here are some pics of the final invitation.

Spray Paint Palooza

This past weekend we decided to have some fun and by creating some new cards. The business logistics of the biz has been bogging us down, so what better way to get out of our funk than with spray paint? I don't want to reveal too much about our new line (since we hope to post these on Etsy soon) but here is a little teaser of our process. We will give a shout out when the cards are ready to buy on Etsy.

Well, folks, we've officially made it. Ok, maybe we're still making it—but in our books, this is the bee's knees. We were featured on Style Me Pretty, our absolute favorite wedding site! My own wedding from last fall was shown, along with some really great feedback from the wedding style maven and blogger extraordinaire, Abby Larson.

Farewellpaperie.com is finally live

Finally, farewellpaperie.com is up and running! We poured a lot of our heart and souls into this, so we are really excited to finally have the website up. Of course, we must give a few shout outs to to all those that helped:

Thao Nghiem helped us program the site. She's an awesome programmer and without her we would still be twiddling out thumbs in front of the computer wondering how to read HTML. Thanks for putting up with us, Thao. Check out her site thaonghiem.com. She's a talented lady!

Also, Dan Schultz, who is an amazing photographer in the Atlanta area, photographed our samples for the site. Because of his expertise, our work looks that much better and we couldn't be happier with the shots. Seriously take a look at his site, danschultzphoto.com. and hire him. He's great to work with and super nice.

So enjoy our site. We are super proud of it. And just a little footnote, we are currently working on getting stuff ready to sell on Etsy, so be on the look out for those individual cards to be posted soon.
